Ford is as committed as ever to ensuring a more sustainable and electrified automotive world. The company recently went public about joining other major automotive manufacturers around the world, along with the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) and Drive Sustainability, to update and make impactful changes to the “Automotive Industry Guiding Principles to Enhance Sustainability Performance in the Supply Chain.”

Launching this month on Ford’s 119th anniversary, the blue oval company is showcasing a century of its archival documents and other materials made available to the public with a new online database titled the Ford Heritage Vault.

The Ford Explorer has a solid history of earning excellent safety ratings, including a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for both 2020 and 2021. Most recently, the IIHS awarded the 2022 Ford Explorer its highest possible score – good – in its newly updated side-impact evaluation test.

To make a lasting impression at the 2022 Memphis International Auto Show, Ford Motor Company and the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture revealed a new partnership that will bolster economic development, improve education opportunities, and strengthen conservation efforts throughout the mid-southern United States.

Ford recently revealed that, for the seventh consecutive year, the Ford Mustang – which celebrates its 58th birthday on Easter – is the world’s best-selling sports coupe. This fact was discovered by Ford when analyzing registration data from S&P Global Mobility.

Ford has continued to make remarkable efforts in transitioning its business to become more sustainable, including releasing its very first integrated sustainability and financial report last year, launching a new sustainable financing framework to support future projects, and investing $50 billion in EVs by 2026 as the company aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from its U.S.-based plants by 50 percent by 2030. Most recently, Ford just released its 2022 Integrated Sustainability and Financial Report, which includes an industry-first human rights report too.

Earlier this month, the blue oval company officially informed the public earlier this month that one of its large production factories will take on the shipping duties for the 2022 E-Transit van, the new electric version of the well-known cargo van. Initial models came hot  off the development line at Ford’s impressive factory based in the Northland. The E-Transit is the automaker’s second EV to come to light after the Mustang Mach-E.
