Ford Becomes Member of First Movers Coalition

The launch of the First Movers Coalition was announced at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in 2021, as an ambitious global initiative of more than fifty companies seeking to use their purchasing power to decarbonize the seven industrial sectors that currently account for over 30% of global emissions: Aluminum, Aviation, Chemicals, Concrete, Shipping, Steel, and Trucking. Last week Ford Motor Company announced that it will be joining the First Movers Coalition, aligning themselves with other companies who share a commitment to reducing emissions.

Ford Publishes Inaugural Human Rights Report

 

Ford has continued to make remarkable efforts in transitioning its business to become more sustainable, including releasing its very first integrated sustainability and financial report last year, launching a new sustainable financing framework to support future projects, and investing $50 billion in EVs by 2026 as the company aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from its U.S.-based plants by 50 percent by 2030. Most recently, Ford just released its 2022 Integrated Sustainability and Financial Report, which includes an industry-first human rights report too.

Ford Pro Begins Shipping Electric E-Transit And Increases Production

 

 

Earlier this month, the blue oval company officially informed the public earlier this month that one of its large production factories will take on the shipping duties for the 2022 E-Transit van, the new electric version of the well-known cargo van. Initial models came hot  off the development line at Ford’s impressive factory based in the Northland. The E-Transit is the automaker’s second EV to come to light after the Mustang Mach-E.
