Ford Pro Begins Shipping Electric E-Transit And Increases Production

 

 

Earlier this month, the blue oval company officially informed the public earlier this month that one of its large production factories will take on the shipping duties for the 2022 E-Transit van, the new electric version of the well-known cargo van. Initial models came hot  off the development line at Ford’s impressive factory based in the Northland. The E-Transit is the automaker’s second EV to come to light after the Mustang Mach-E.

Ford Partners With DTE Energy on New Rooftop Solar Installation and Battery Storage Technology

 

Earlier this month, the Ford Motor Company announced that local Michigan energy company DTE Energy had been commissioned to create a new rooftop solar array at the Ford Research & Engineering Center in Dearborn, Michigan. 

 

The 2,159-panel array is located on the rooftop level of the Deck 400 parking structure and includes an integrated battery storage system that will be used to power newly-installed electric vehicle (EV) chargers.
