In Ford’s new ad for the 2019 Ford Ranger the company calls the Ranger, “The Right Gear.” The spot opens with a base jumper zipping up his jacket and strapping on his helmet. The voiceover says, “The right gear matters,” and he jumps.
The spot cuts to the Ranger barreling through sand dunes, it’s the right gear. The Ranger whips through snow and sand thanks to its terrain management system, it slams down a dune thanks to its bash plate, a it scales a rock wall thanks to its electronic locking differential.
