Ford To Use 'Charge Angels' To Fix And Improve Charging Stations

 

 

The Ford Motor Company’s F-150 Lightning is getting ready for release next year, and Ford plans to hire a team of “Charge Angels” to guarantee that the people who own its EVs can find dependable places to charge when needed. In a recent interview with Automotive News, Ford EV lead Darren Palmer stated that technicians in uniquely-equipped Mustang Mach-Es will venture across the US to test out charging stations where corresponding vehicle data and “angry social media posts” indicate how the stations may not be working as intended.

Ford and Google Announce Expanded Partnership

 

Earlier this week, the Ford Motor Company and online tech juggernaut Google announced a unique, first-of-its-kind partnership that will strategically accelerate Ford’s connected vehicle development and experience. 

 

In addition, Ford has named Google Cloud as its preferred cloud provider going forward, a move that leverages Google’s world-class expertise in data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Beginning in 2023, millions of future Ford and Lincoln vehicles will be powered by Android, with multiple built-in Google apps and services.
