Earlier this week, the Ford Motor Company debuted its latest “Mustang Mach-E v. Everything” campaign, a series of five short films that are intended to highlight the many various strengths of the all-electric Mustang Mach-E in many impressive and visually captivating ways.
It is Ford’s hope that the new campaign will shatter every misconception that the general public still has about all-electric vehicles by pitting the upcoming 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E against the very powerful forces of gravity, lightning, a racing pit crew, DNA, and even a rocket ship.
“Mustang has always been disruptive, and the all-new all-electric Mustang is no different,” said Suzy Deering, chief marketing officer, Ford Motor Company. “We needed a campaign that brought the spirit of Mustang to life in the most compelling, entertaining way possible. And Mustang Mach-E v. Everything does just that.”
The Mustang Mach-E v. Everything campaign was developed by creative collaborator BBDO NY and !stAveMachine directors Aaron Duffy and Bob Paddington, who are known for their technical prowess in the world of filmmaking. The campaign’s five short films demonstrate the following:
Mustang Mach-E v. Gravity - In this video, the torque of the all-new Mustang Mach-E is tested against the law of gravity itself. See how the all-electric pony car’s off-the-line performance fares against the speed of a falling chandelier.
Mustang Mach-E v. Rocket Science - This video highlights the impressive range of the 2021 Mustang Mach-E. A 12-foot rocket helps visualize the EPA-estimated 300 miles of all-electric range that the Mach-E Premium model with available extended-range battery and rear-wheel drive is capable of.
Mustang Mach-E v. Pit Crew - The Mustang Mach-E’s advanced over-the-air update capabilities allow this ride to update its onboard software from almost anywhere. In this video, these capabilities are challenged against a mobile pit crew harnessed to the bed of a truck.
