Ford’s Ranger has been Europe’s top-selling pickup truck for 10 years, and with the introduction of the all-new Ranger PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), it’s clear that Ford is poised to continue its dominance in the market. In 2024, the Ranger claimed 43.6% of the European pickup market share, selling 60,400 units and showing a 4% increase over the previous year. As the market leader, Ford’s Ranger continues to meet the needs of a diverse range of customers.

What sets the new Ranger PHEV apart? This electrified model blends power and sustainability, offering a 43 km electric-only driving range and 697 Nm of torque, the highest of any Ranger model to date. This makes the Ranger PHEV perfect for those who require a pickup that can handle tough jobs without sacrificing environmental responsibility. It maintains all of the Ranger’s renowned towing, payload, and off-road capabilities, ensuring that customers don’t have to choose between power and eco-friendliness.

Additionally, the Ranger PHEV is equipped with Pro Power Onboard, allowing users to power up to 6.9 kW of equipment directly from the truck’s battery. This feature eliminates the need for external generators, increasing convenience and productivity for professionals who rely on power tools.

With production underway in Silverton, South Africa, Ford plans to begin delivering the Ranger PHEV to European customers in spring 2025. As Hans Schep, General Manager of Ford Pro Europe, notes, “Our all-new Ranger PHEV will use electric power to take the pickup experience to the next level.”
