Over the past few years, Ford’s Raptor family has been growing with impressive additions like the Bronco Raptor and the F-150 Raptor. In 2024, the ranks will continue to grow as the Ford Ranger Raptor takes the stage. Unstoppably capable, this truck will be ready and able to tackle some of the most challenging terrain around, and off-road enthusiasts everywhere are on the edge of their seats as they wait to see what the Ranger Raptor can do.
This truck was designed with off-roading in mind at every single level, making it a beast designed for punishing trails and difficult adventures. The vehicle’s purpose-built suspension features lightweight aluminum upper and lower control arms plus a long-travel rear suspension with a Watts linkage and trailing arms to provide drivers with control and confidence over tricky ground, while next-generation FOX 2.5-inch Live Valve Internal Bypass shocks with coil-overs at the front and piggyback reservoirs at the rear help to reduce heat build-up so that the Ranger Raptor can deliver exceptional performance during every part of a long drive. The truck’s fully boxed frame is reinforced in key areas like the front frame rails, front shock towers, rear shock brackets, and suspension mounting points to make it extra durable and completely ready to hit the road.
Even more impressive is the Ranger Raptor’s engine, a Ford Performance tuned twin-turbo 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 that delivers 430 lb.-ft. of torque and a best-in-class maximum available horsepower of 405 hp. This is the most powerful Ranger ever made, a prestigious title to take for such a well-regarded and capable truck.
“Ranger Raptor is the high-performance off-road truck so many customers have been begging for,” said Carl Widmann, Ford Performance chief engineer. “It’s right-sized for tight trails and daily life, can carry lots of gear, and is a blast to drive. Ranger Raptor is fast, comfortable, and packed with top-shelf, purposeful technology that’s designed to perform. This is the baddest Ranger we’ve ever made.”
With increased performance over gravel, dirt, mud and sand, the 2024 Ranger Raptor will be hitting the scene late in the summer of this year, and is sure to impress off-roading drivers of all stripes, from novices to experts.
