Ford recently announced the company’s new 2023 F-Series Super Duty pickup, and it boasts a wide range of powerful updates and advanced features to serve drivers at the worksite and everywhere else. Ford guarantees that this pickup delivers best-in-class power and torque, and it's going to feature multiple options for tailoring yours as a rugged off-roader for any adventure.

Ford upgraded the Super Duty with two V8 engines for 2023, but the company hasn’t officially released power figures for either engine. The 6.8-liter V8 gas engine was confirmed as standard across the lineup, and Ford stated that the new engine will match or exceed the fuel efficiency of the old one in addition to providing more torque. The incredible 7.3-liter gas V8 is also available, offering  “best gas horsepower and torque in the class.”

One of the big updates for the 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty is the Pro Power Onboard generator found in the pickup. This feature offers some external power source capability and a neat extra feature for the infotainment screen upfitters out there.

First off, the Pro Power Onboard is optional on the Super Duty in the form of a 2.0-kWh output plug in the rear of the bed. This is the lowest-output plug available on the smaller F-150, and the reason it isn’t more powerful is because of the lack of a hybrid powertrain for the new Super Duty. But a 2.0-kWh output plug is still an upgrade when compared to the typical low-voltage plug found in most trucks and is very capable for powering a job site or a tailgate party.

Secondly, there is also an updated Ford Pro Upfit Integration System on the Super Duty. This is a great situation for upfitters who are able to link to software inside the infotainment system to operate equipment attached to the power, including utility cranes and plows.

The premium off-roader trim option for the new F-Series Super Duty is the Tremor version. The Tremor package provides a front end lift, a limited-slip differential, a Dana front axle with axle vent tubes, 35-inch top-notch tires, advanced Trail Control, and a rugged rock crawl mode. It will also arrive with the Trail Turn Assist feature from the Bronco.

For customers who aren’t interested in leveling up to the full Tremor model, Ford is also offering an XL off-road package. This supports drivers with 33-inch tires, a raised air dam, water-crossing axle vent tubes, durable skid plates, and an electronic locking rear differential.

Officially, the 2023 Ford Super Duty will arrive some time in 2023. Ford stated that production for the powerful new pickup will start early next year, which means pricing and other details will come closer to that date.
