Ford Pro recently debuted the new Ford Pro Fleet Management Software. It's the suite’s dominant product and is the newest addition to the Ford Pro Intelligence collection of fleet management solutions, expanding on the one-stop shop of vehicles, software, charging, service and financing. The optional new system will arrive on vehicles from the factory this autumn – starting with the Ford Mustang Mach-E.
More specifically, the software program is offered on a subscription basis for as low as $5 per month for every vehicle. It supports office admins and fleet managers with a new tool to document and store important metrics on every vehicle in their fleets. Powered by fleet management software provider Fleetio, the cloud-based, simple-to-use system digitizes all cost-related data and provides total cost of ownership right at their fingertips.
The software’s updates with real-time data and “continuously gets smarter,” according to Ford. Ford Pro Intelligence also supports consultation on topics like charging solutions for electric vehicles, including depot site design.
“The biggest pain point we hear from commercial customers when it comes to managing their fleets is not having a single place to access all of their information across vehicles and services,” says Ted Cannis, Ford Pro CEO, in a statement. “We’ve created a platform that centralizes and powers our entire digital ecosystem, working across gas and electric powertrains, Ford and non-Ford vehicles.”
The main three fleet management products in the suite are Ford Pro Fleet Management Software, Ford Pro Title and Registration, and Ford Pro Driver Risk Management.
Bolstered by Ford’s collaboration with Salesforce, Ford Pro also revealed a new subscription software service: VIIZR. VIIZR is a Software as a Service tool that packages Ford Pro and Salesforce Field Service together to help with tasks like scheduling field appointments, sending out invoices, and supporting customer relationships from one integrated, cloud-based solution.
The web-based system is offered to individual drivers in a mobile app format, helping them to input data while on the job. The program works well with Ford Pro vehicle software such as Ford Pro Telematics to support business owners with an even broader view of important fleet vehicle data.
