During the Covid-19 pandemic, some Ford dealerships began offering pickup and delivery services to their customers. It was a way to work with social distancing requirements and allow customers to get their cars serviced while remaining safe. The service was very well received, as it enabled customers to receive necessary maintenance on their vehicles without needing to rearrange their schedules.
Ford is now expanding this service to be available to FordPass™ Rewards members. Customers can call their dealer to schedule an appointment and request a pickup, at home or even at work. During the service, customers receive updates via text, email, or phone about how their car is doing, and it’s delivered back to them upon completion of the service, usually the same day.
In addition to expanding pickup and delivery services, Ford is also expanding its FordPass Rewards program to show even more customer appreciation and expand the rewards that are available. The program is now being broken into a system of Blue, Silver, and Bronze tiers. Members in the Blue and Silver tiers will be automatically eligible for the pickup and delivery service.
“Milestones” are the metric used to determine a member’s tier level. Milestones are achieved by things like buying or leasing a new Ford, which translates to 50 milestones. Purchasing a used Ford vehicle or receiving a service at a Ford dealership achieves 25 milestones, and so on. Any FordPass members who have earned 200 or more milestones since January 2021 are placed in the Blue tier, and those with 120 or more are placed in the Silver tier. All other members are placed in the Bronze tier. While milestones are only used to determine tier status, “points” have a redemption value and can be used for service visits, dealership purchases such as accessories, or as a down payment on the member’s next purchase of a Ford vehicle.
FordPass Rewards members are eligible for perks based on their tier level. Members of the Blue tier receive 10 points to the dollar that they spend on Ford services, plus two pickup and delivery services per year. Silver tier members receive 10 points to the dollar and one pickup and delivery service per year. Bronze tier members receive 10 points to the dollar and can redeem 10,000 of those points to be eligible for a pickup and delivery service. Each tier includes many other available offers.
