The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is taking the world by storm — literally. According to the Blue Oval brand, the European version of the all-new Mustang Mach 1 is “the fastest Mustang around a track ever to be sold in Europe.”

In a recent video from Ford Germany, we see the all-new Mach 1 come alive in a dimly lit warehouse building. Its headlights and digital instrument cluster illuminates before the pony car begins to slowly creep forward.

Suddenly, things pick up when the driver steps on the gas pedal. Before we even realize, the car begins to rocket down the road. In the blink of an eye, we’re back to the latest performance version of the iconic Mustang as it sits still and calm once again.

A very similar build to its North American counterpart, the European Mach 1 is powered by a 5.0L Coyote V8 engine that produces 480 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. This version of the Mach 1 is also the first European Mustang available with the six-speed manual transmission.

This manual transmission features rev-matching technology that ensures seamless downshifts and an upgraded oil-cooler system for high-demand performance. If desired however, customers can opt for the 10-speed automatic transmission, which features an upgraded oil-cooler and recalibrated software.

In addition, a unique suspension setup further enhances the Mach 1’s road performance and track capability. Uniquely-calibrated MagneRide 2 damers and bespoke springs, anti-roll bars, and bush specifications deliver improved control and response when this ride is put to intense cornering tests, while the returning electric power-assisted steering software provides the most precise steering of any European Mustang.

Visually, the European Mustang Mach 1 is striking. Featuring an exterior design that harkens back to the iconic Mach 1 pony cars of the 1960s and 1970s, this ride includes bold hood and side stripes, performance-derived body-styling, and unique 19-inch alloy wheels.

This limited edition model is also available in a unique set of eight body-color, stripe, and contrast-line combinations, each paying respect to the original iteration of the Mach 1. Each Mustang Mach 1 is individually numbered with a special plaque.
