It’s no secret that the 2021 Ford F-150 pickup is already the hottest truck going, but believe it or not, certain advanced performance trims, like the F-150 Raptor and F-150 Tremor, are about to make this ride even hotter.
Though Ford has yet to announce exact production dates for these advanced trims, the Blue Oval brand has stated that both will be available by this summer, which surely means production is slated to begin very soon.
According to additional sources familiar with Ford’s product plans however, these two F-150 variants are allegedly part of Job #2, which applies to all Ford F-150 models built on or after July 6, 2021.
While this doesn’t necessarily mean that both the Raptor and Tremor will hit the assembly line on day one, it does seem to indicate an early summer production schedule, which means we can expect to see dealers take delivery as early as late-Summer 2021.
The Ford F-150 Raptor is exclusively built at Ford’s Dearborn Truck Plant rather than the Kansas City Assembly Plant, and this is the expected place of assembly for the Ford F-150 Tremor as well.
As of now, it’s unclear whether the ongoing semiconductor chip shortage will impact Tremor and Raptor production, but it is true that F-150 production in general has been affected to some degree.
