Earlier today, many Ford gearheads nationwide were sent into mourning, as the Blue Oval brand has recently announced that it will be ending production of the Mustang Shelby 350 and 350R models this Fall.

The Mustang Shelby GT350 first won us over with it’s high-octane, naturally aspirated 5.2L V8 “Voodoo” engine. This powertrain, available exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission, allows this muscle car to launch from 0-60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds and rip through the quarter mile in 12.2 seconds at 119 mph.

The Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 first returned to the legendary Mustang lineup way back in 2015, when it quickly became one of the best-performing, most-popular Mustang models Ford had to offer.

In light of the recent news, it appears that the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT350 and track-tuned 2020 Mustang Shelby GT350R will be the final stand for this beloved model, which are currently the last factory-made manual transmission Shelby models available to the general public.

Godspeed! These models will live on in our hearts forever.

On the bright side, Ford is replacing the muscle void in our soul with the even more powerful Mustang Shelby GT500, which includes an automatic transmission with rotary shifter on the center console and a supercharged 760-horsepower engine.
