One of the reasons that Ford has been around for so long and has been able to remain in the forefront of the automotive industry is its ability to innovate. While other companies focus solely on designing, manufacturing and producing automobiles, Ford has branched out.
Fords other ventures include developing mobility sources, mobility apps, humanitarian aid and education. In addition to these other ventures, Ford has become a global company. No longer is the company purely American. It truly is a global company, with employees and vehicles wherever there are cars on the road.
Many automakers are trying to capitalize and make inroads into the automotive markets in Asia, China in particular. While Ford is making progress in China, the company is making greater strides in India. Ford and Mahindra have signed five memoranda of understanding (MoU). These memoranda dictate that the two companies will work towards producing vehicles in India together.
First on the list of vehicles the companies will work toward is a midsize SUV. Following that, the companies have plans towards a compact SUV and an electric vehicle. Mahindra is a great company to partner with in this regard; they have been the top company for SUVs in India for over 70 years. While it may be awhile before the companies have a vehicle to show for their partnership, it will be worth the wait.
