Ford Australia recently released a short teaser video of the newly re-designed Ford Ranger Raptor tearing up the dusty roads of the Australian Outback. The Ranger Raptor is shown as a very agile midsize machine, quickly navigating the tough terrain, while showing its excellent off-road ability. With details on the full production model limited, it is still evident in the video that the Ranger Raptor will feature a wider body and an upgraded suspension.

Ford has announced that the 2018 Ranger Raptor will only be released to the Australian and New Zealand markets, so the US will have to wait some time for a left-hand-drive version.

Not since 2011 has Ford released a Ranger model in the United States. However, after years of requests from fans, Ford is ready to bring the Ranger model back to the US in 2019. It is unclear if the US market will see the Raptor version of the Ranger, or an all-new model. Nevertheless, Ford fans have a lot to look forward to when the new and improved Ranger returns to the US in two years.
