They are also going to be filling the driver's seat with some really interesting drivers.

No. 1 Car

The No. 1 car has an exciting roster. They have put together some really accomplished and up-coming drivers from all over the international racing circuit. This includes Andy Priaulx, a three time World Touring Car Champion, Lance Stroll, a F1 hopeful, Brendon Hartley, FIA WEC champion and Alex Wurz, a two time Le Mans winner and former F1 driver who will be coming out from retirement for this event.

No. 2 Car

In the driver's seat of the second Ford EcoBoost prototype is going to be Jamie McMurray, Kyle Larson, Tony Kanaan, and Scott Dixon. They won in 2015 and are eager to defend their position. They are tremendously accomplished individually as well. McMurray is among just three drivers who have won the 24 Hours Daytona and the Daytona 500. The other two are AJ Foyt and Mario Andretti. Larson was the 2013 Rookie of the Year at the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Kanaan won the Indy 500 back in 2013 and Dixon is an IndyCar champion.

It is even better if you have a chance to attend this event and sit inside the race track. You can actually watch them work on cars so they can get that car back on the track to race. What other race can you do this at? On top of this, you can see all the cars take off and see the pretty girls that model for the cars. Be careful though, you can get ran over by the drivers when they are coming into and leaving the pit!

You can also watch them race boats and water ski on the interior lake. It is an incredible time.

Scott Dixon

From this list of drivers, it is clear that Dixon is the one the team is going to be rallying behind. He's been a permanent part of the team for fourteen years now and has been a part of their roster since their inception. He has won 4 IndyCar Series as well as the Indianapolis 500. He was part of both the 2006 and the 2015 Rolex 24 winning teams from FCGR.

After Rolex 24

Once the racing season begins, Hartley is going to be tied up with Porsche while Stroll is going to be spending his time going between Formula 3 & his role of a development driver for Williams. Wurz is most probably going to go back into retirement while maintaining his ambassadorial/advisory role for Toyota.

It wouldn't be too surprising if Priaulx signed on with Ganassi as a full time driver for the Ford GT at the WEC though. Apart from winning three WTCC titles and the European Touring Car Championship, he is also the reigning Race of Champions winner and has class wins at the 12 Hours of Sebrung of 2011 and the European Le Mans in 2015 at Estoril.

FCGR

FCGR (Ford Chip Ganassi Racing) is a 7 time IMSA champion and has won the Daytona 24 six times including in 2014. The No. 1 and No. 2 EcoBoost prototypes cars are fresh additions for this year and will take their total car count for the race to four which is a team record. Partnership details as well as car liveries for these prototypes are going to be announced later on.

They have the greatest record in the history of the Rolex 24 with their 6 wins accompanied by a couple of second place finishes. They have forty-six race wins under their belt as well as 7 Championships since their formation in 2004. Chip Ganassi remains the only owner to win 3 Rolex 24 events in a row. You would think so.
