The system gives you the choice between two different four-wheel drive modes and two separate two-wheel drive modes. It’s easy as can be, and it will give you the confidence to go anywhere.


 

Hey off-roaders! Ford didn’t forget about you and that’s why they designed the FX4 Off-Road Package with serious off-roaders in mind. The package boasts off-road monotube shocks, all-terrain tires, traction enhancing electronic-locking rear differential, exposed steel front bash plate, heavy-duty front skid plate, and even more. If you’re even the least bit an “adrenaline junkie” this might be for you.

 

Included in the FX4 Off-Road Package, and on other models is Trail Control™. The system is driver activated gives you more control over rough terrain. Train Control™ manages the Rangers throttle and braking while maintaining a constant speed that can be set up to 20 miles-per-hour. Basically it’s cruise control for the trail, and it gives you the tools to focus on the road ahead and let the Ranger take care of the rest.
