For 2021, the Ford Escape has been packed full of exceptional futuristic features such as adaptive cruise control and traffic-sign recognition, which will both be available on the optional Ford Co-Pilot 360 Plus package.
On the 2021 Escape Technology package, features like a hands-free power liftgate and driver's seat memory settings memory settings are included. On the 2021 Escape Convenience package, you'll find a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry, and LED exterior lighting.
In addition, the 2021 Escape adds an all-new optional 19-inch wheel design for a little extra appearance oomph.
Fuel Efficiency That Makes an Impact
The Ford Escape is well-known for its excellent fuel efficiency, and the 2021 model continues that tradition. Ford has expanded the availability of the 2021 Escape's hybrid powertrain to both the SE and SEL trims. In addition, the company has added it as the standard on the 2021 Ford Escape Titanium. This powertrain earns an EPA-estimated 37 miles of electric range and an EPA-estimated 44 miles per gallon in the city.
Even on non-hybrid trims, the fuel efficiency ability of the 2021 Escape is still impressive. Its 1.5L three-cylinder front-wheel drive model gets 27 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway for a combined 30 mpg.
Even with the 2021 Escape's most powerful powertrain option, the turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder with all-wheel drive, you're still getting an EPA-estimated fuel efficiency rating of 23 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway for a combined 26 mpg.
Safety That Stands Out
The Ford Motor Company is big on safety, and this is especially true of the 2021 Ford Escape. This ride has recently earned both a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick award courtesy of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and the 2021 Ford Escape's multiple driver-assist features are certainly a big reason why.
On the upcoming Escape, drivers will have access to multiple cutting-edge assist features including standards like forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
